Mooslookmeguntic Lake Canoe Trip for 7th Graders (June 8-10)

Dates: Thursday, June 7 – Sunday, June 10
Grade: 7 only
Max: 7 girls, 7 boys
Fee: $375

This is the trip for 7th graders who are ready for the next level of Bounders trips! Our crew will venture to western Maine where we will set-up basecamp at a beautiful site on the eastern shores of Mooslookmeguntic Lake. (This is a more remote location than students experienced on our 6th grade Pawtuckaway trip). In this wild setting, students will continue to develop outdoor skills that can’t necessarily be taught in a Bounders Class such as paddling a canoe, fishing, sleeping comfortably outside, and being helpful in camp. As always, we will have plenty of opportunities for camp cooking, fire building, nature exploration, and play. We’ll camp near our vehicles on the first night then we’ll load our canoes and paddle out to an island campsite for the second and third night.

This is a great training trip if students are interested in our weeklong 8th Grade Canoe Expedition that takes place in the same region. (This 8th grade trip happens at the end-of-August; sign up information will sent out this Spring. Stay tuned for more information on this to come out soon.)

***Drop off 8:15 am and Pick-up at 4:30 pm from the Lincoln Campus

Students who sign up for this trip will be missing two half days of school and will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Sign up by May 28, 2018
  • Deliver any trip medications to the nurse, by May 30
  • Earn the support of teachers, advisor and counselors by being in adequate academic and behavioral standing prior to the trip
  • Make up missed work
