Spring 2018 Activities (Feb 26 - June 14)

Mondays/Wednesdays

Music
Leader: Mr. McCoobery
Max: 8
Fee: $288

Join Mr. McCoobery for afternoons of fun with drums and traditional instruments as well as composing electronic music. Learn to read notes, listen to, and appreciate many different types of music. This group also has opportunities to be inside and outside for more active times.

Arts & Crafts / Mudworks
Leaders: Ms. Buscemi & Ms. McKeever
Max: 8
Fee: $288

Individual, as well as, group arts and crafts projects and mud works activities.

Spring Explorers
Leader: Mr. Gregory
Grades: 3, 4, 5 only
Max: 10
Fee: $288

Spring Explorers use the afternoon to discover connections within nature, the group, and themselves. Using our Yurt as a base camp, Explorers will have the opportunity to work on and develop their Bounders skills: building, crafting, tracking, and more. Our activities will be guided by group interests and weather.

Tuesdays/Thursdays

Makers Club
Leader: Ms. Sampar
Max: 8
Fee: $288

Makers Club is based on the S.T.E.A.M. philosophy and the Art of Tinkering projects. The curriculum combines art and science through creations such as scribble machines, wind tubes, squishy circuits, and circuit cards! The kids love these activities. They benefit from this combination of science and art academically, socially, and emotionally. Students learn to collaborate effectively. They problem solve, learn to structure their time, and work through challenging situations through art and engineering.

Mondays through Thursdays

Recreational Games
Leaders: Coach Hendrick, Mr. McCoobery, and Staff
Max: 20
Fee: $144 for 1 day/week; $288 for 2 days/week; $432 for 3 days/week; $576 for 4 days/week

Come join us for a variety of active and quiet recreational games played inside and outside. We do share our gym with the Middle School basketball program, so less time will be spent in the gym. We will have ample time outside, build with Legos and other building materials, use computers, play board games, and be involved in some special projects.

Bounders Overnight for 5th Graders (Fri, Apr 27 - Sat, Apr 28)

Dates: Friday, April 27 - Saturday, April 28
Grade: 5 only
Max: 12
Fee: $127

This is when overnight training starts in Bounders. You will learn how to set yourself up for a good night's sleep in our Lincoln Bounders Woods using our Bounders hammock sleep system. We will also get a chance to practice a variety of skills: problem solving, fire tending, knot tying, cooking with camp stoves or over coals in our fire pits, and how to travel safely through the woods at night. Along the way, we will fill our “downtime” with fun forest games, storytelling, and riddles.

***Pick-up Saturday at 10:00am from the Lincoln Campus

Sudbury River Canoe Trip for 4th Graders (Fri, May 4)

Date: Friday, May 4, 2018
Grade: 4 only
Max: 12
Fee: $90

This is where Bounders canoe training begins. We will paddle out on the Sudbury River to Fairhaven Bay, exploring the natural world around us. After an afternoon of paddling and exploration, we will travel back to our Lincoln Yurt for a hearty Bounders dinner, camping style!

***Pick-up at 7:30pm from the Lincoln Campus
