We are thrilled to announce that Carroll School has been chosen as a lead school for the AISNE Middle School Student DEI Conference, which will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Regis College. For more than 30 years, AISNE's Student Conferences have centered on the topics of belonging and equity for thousands of young people across New England. They are spaces for connections, celebration, and student leadership that lift up the voices and experiences of student identities often marginalized in independent schools.
After seven years of participation, Carroll is honored to be selected as the lead school for the 2025 Middle School Conference and to set this year’s theme: Belonging & Becoming. This opportunity aligns with Carroll’s mission as an inclusive community, dedicated to embracing diverse strengths, identities, and lived experiences to provide every child with what they need to thrive.
I see the conference as a wonderful opportunity for students to explore their own lived experiences, wrestle with real world conversations, bridge connections, draw on their individual and collective strengths, and have fun. As the lead school for this year’s conference, I look forward to bringing in keynote speakers and organizing workshops and affinity groups that are meaningful and impactful.
Osa Osagie Director of Equity and Inclusion
This conference will bring approximately 400 people (students and their chaperones) from across New England schools together. As the lead school, Carroll School will set the conference theme, create a brand logo for the event, identify speakers, coordinate workshops and affinity groups, manage volunteers, emcee the event, and more.

About the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE)
With an ongoing commitment to equity and inclusion, the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE) shapes the educational landscape for independent schools through leadership, education, service, and strategic advocacy. AISNE represents many different types of schools, from schools for students with learning differences like Carroll to traditional day and boarding schools in New England. In the context of the missions and values of our schools, AISNE seeks to encourage an environment in which all members of the community are valued, included and feel an authentic sense of belonging. We believe that cultivating diversity is an essential part of an effective learning environment.
