Carroll Alumni Council Position Description

The Carroll Alumni Council will serve in an advisory role to the Carroll Alumni Office. Members of the Alumni Council will support the school’s efforts to engage alumni with each other and with Carroll through events, activities, volunteer service, and more.

Meetings

• Attend quarterly Council meetings, as defined by the Council Leadership in consultation with Carroll staff.
• Based on alumni program goals, Council members may also voluntarily serve on a special project subcommittee.

Outreach

• Communicate with classmates/alumni community regarding Alumni Engagement/Carroll programs and activities.
• Participate in and promote networking and professional/educational development initiatives to alumni and students.
• Identify potential alumni volunteers, sharing information with staff and other Council members.
• Use every opportunity to widen and deepen the circles of alumni engagement.
• Serve as an advocate for Carroll alumni, as well as an advocate and ambassador for Carroll School.
• Attend Carroll events, as able.

Joining the Council

Potential Council members should have a desire to support, grow and enhance the programs of Carroll School Alumni Office, and the Council. They should also demonstrate an interest in building and sustaining strong relationships with alumni of the school, as well as faculty, students and staff on the campus.
