Our comprehensive process is designed to help our team and your family determine if our summer school program is the right fit for your child. Before you get started on the application, here is what you need to know:

*Discounts are available for tuition payments made by ACH/check.

Financial assistance is available for qualified Summer@Carroll families. Some families may also receive funding from their school districts to attend Summer@Carroll. For questions, please email Summer Admissions.

Summer Student Profiles

Summer student profile for our grades 1-2 summer program.

Beginning Readers

Our Beginning Readers (BR) program is for bright children entering 1st or 2nd grade who struggle with pre-reading and language skills. They may have been formally diagnosed with a specific learning disability (SLD) or a language-based learning disability (LBLD) such as dyslexia; or identified as "at risk" in an early literacy screening. Please see below for application requirements.

Elementary & Middle School

The Elementary and Middle School programs are designed for bright children entering grades 3-7 who have been diagnosed with a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) or a Language-Based Learning Disability (LBLD), such as dyslexia. Some applicants may also have challenges with executive function and/or attentional issues. Please see below for application requirements.

Summer student profile for our grades 8-9 summer program.

High School Readiness

Our High School Readiness program is for bright children entering 8th and 9th grade who may have executive function challenges affecting their academic performance. HSR applicants may have Language-Based Learning Difficulties (LBLD); however, Orton-Gillingham tutoring is not typically offered in this program. The HSR program focuses on organization and study skills in preparation for high school. Please see below for application requirements.

Application Timeline

The Admission process opens in mid-October and is rolling. All applicants must submit a new application in Ravenna for Summer@Carroll 2025. Decisions will be released on a rolling basis beginning in late January 2025. We strongly encourage you to complete your application early as our program fills quickly.
