For students entering 2nd Grade...

• For students who attended Carroll this year ... Below are required assignments plus some summer practice options to help reinforce skills taught throughout the school year.
• For new students coming to Carroll for the first time ... we do not expect your child to complete summer work as they may not be familiar with, or have access to, some of the tools or strategies (which they'll learn next year). Our goal for summer reading is to have students continue to practice their reading for approximately 30 minutes a day to maintain their reading skills and acquire new vocabulary. We have assigned an “All School Read,” Flying Lessons, and other stories by Ellen Oh, for all students and adults entering or returning to the Upper School.
