Special Note about Skiing/Boarding

The Middle/Upper School is excited to offer our supervised skiing/snowboarding program at Nashoba Valley.

All skiers and riders must have experience.

Students should be able to put their ski/snowboard boots on by themselves. Riders should also have enough experience to get down the mountain by themselves without any additional help/teacher instruction. Before we leave for Nashoba, we make sure the kids have a group to ski with and that they are never alone. Teachers circulate throughout the mountain to check on the groups. Students are given a lot of independence when they ski, that’s why having experience is necessary.

Carroll School rules apply to all students while on the vans/skiing. If a student cannot follow Carroll rules, they will lose their privilege to attend future trips.

Please find the specifics of the program below, and we hope to see you on the slopes.

COST: $75 per week

MAX: 40 students

DATES:

  • Jan 31 (Please note that this is Middle School Parent Visiting Day, do not register if you plan on taking your child directly home from school that day.)
  • Feb 7 (Please note that this is Upper School Parent Visiting Day, do not register if you plan on taking your child directly home from school that day.)

IMPORTANT INFO

  • HELMETS REQUIRED for all activities.
  • Students can either bring their own skis/snowboards/helmets or arrange rentals ahead of time.
  • Rentals – We highly recommend that rentals be arranged through Nashoba Valley prior to the start of the program. This makes the process easier for your child. You can contact Nashoba directly at 978-692-3033.
  • Considering the long day involved in a Friday Program, it is important to pack a lunch or order a lunch for your child. We will have time to eat before the afternoon activities get started.
  • NOTE: If the ski mountain is closed for any reason, Carroll School will provide an on-campus option with a 3 pm pick-up. A full credit will be offered for those who chose not to attend the on-campus option.

If you have any questions about the Middle/Upper School Friday Program, please contact Alyssa DiPaolo.
