Before and After School Programs at Carroll School

Lower School After School Enrichment Programs

The Lower School After School Enrichment programs offer a diverse array of activities that explore the many interest of Carroll students and provide opportunities for socialization with friends, exercise, play, and creative endeavors. We offer two programs:

  1. Mon-Thu After School Program: Meets Monday through Thursday, 3:15 to 4:45 pm, 3 sessions, Sign-up is per session
  2. Friday Programs: Meets Friday, 12:15-4:30 pm on (most) early release Fridays, Sign-up is per activity

How to Enroll in After School Programs

Interest Form for Winter 2024/25 opens on Nov 1, 2024. An email will be sent to parents/caregivers.

Mon-Thu After School Programs

Our Mon-Thu After School program is designed to provide a variety of engaging and fun activities, including art, crafts, sports, and nature-based activities.

  • 3:15 - 4:45 pm
  • Pick-up at the Lower School gym
  • Fall Session Ends: Thu, Nov 21, 2024
  • Winter Session Dates: Tue, Dec 3, 2024 through Thu, Feb 14, 2025
  • Registration is for entire session
  • See program options below
  • There are no refunds or credits for After School programs.

Friday Programs

Friday Programs are fun activities and field trips available for students on most early release Fridays.

  • 12:15 - 4:30 pm (unless noted)
  • Price: varies by activity
  • See calendar below for dates when programs are available, students register for individual programs they want to attend
  • Please pack a lunch for your child and plenty to drink
  • Pick-up location: Waltham, Mamet Gym at 4:30 pm (unless otherwise noted)
  • There are no refunds or credit for Friday Programs

Special Note about Skiing/Boarding and Tubing

The Lower School is excited to offer our supervised skiing/boarding and tubing programs at Nashoba Valley. The program runs on 3 Fridays: Jan 31, Feb 7, and Feb 28.

Supervised Independent Skiing or Snowboarding

  • Grades 3, 4 and 5
  • Max: 25 students per week
  • Fee: $75 per week
  • Dates: Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 28
  • Your child should have enough experience skiing/boarding that they can be independent with a buddy on the mountain. Plenty of staff are with kids on the mountain.
  • Pick-up: 4:30 pm in Waltham

Tubing

  • Grades 1-5
  • Max: 13 students per week
  • Fee: $72 per week
  • Dates: Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 28
  • Pick-up: 4:30 pm in Waltham

IMPORTANT INFO

  • HELMETS REQUIRED for all activities.
  • Students can either bring their own skis/snowboards/helmets or arrange rentals.
  • Rentals – We highly recommend that rentals be arranged through Nashoba Valley prior to the start of the program. This makes the process easier for your child. You can contact Nashoba directly at 978-692-3033. 
  • Considering the long day involved in a Friday Program, it is important to pack a lunch or order a lunch for your child. We will have time to eat before the afternoon activities get started.
  • NOTE: If the ski mountain is closed for any reason, Carroll School will provide an on-campus option with a 3 pm pick-up. A full credit will be offered for those who chose not to attend the on-campus option.
