• No need to register (except for Lower School SPARK program, see below)

Drop-Off Locations

• Lower School: gym entrance (regular early arrivals head to library, SPARK early arrivals stay in gym)
• Middle School: gym entrance
• Upper School: outside main entrance

SPARK for Lower School

Another early morning alternative for Lower School is the SPARK program (Sports Play and Active Recreation for Kids) which starts at 7:30 am. There is no fee for SPARK, but sign-up is required and is limited to 40 children (first come, first serve). Sign-up is for the full year. *SPARK is full for the 2026-27 academic year. Complete this form to be added to the waitlist.

The SPARK program starts on Wednesday, September 9th.

Our partner, Kids' Corner, offers an exceptional, quality After School Program during the school year for grades K-5 on our Waltham campus with experience and engaged teachers and staff. Learn more about the program here.

Kids Corner After School Program at Carroll School

Runs Mondays-Thursdays from 3:15-6:00 PM and Fridays 12:15-6:00 PM, the first day for after school is Monday, September 14, 2026. 

Note to bus riders: The late bus picks up at 4:45 PM Mon-Thu and 3:30 PM on Fridays.

Registration for School Year 2026-27

Registration for the 2026-27 year is now closed. Interested students can be added to the Lower School After School Program Waitlist and will be contacted when spots become available.

Drop-In Days

Drop-ins are allowed if space is available in the program. If space is not available, you will be notified and refunded promptly. 

• Monday-Thursday, $30 / day
• Friday: $80 / day

Attendees must sign up 5 calendar days in advance in order to ensure that proper enrollment paperwork is filled in and that we can staff the day accordingly. Thank you for understanding. 

Please note that this year there was a high demand for our Friday programming and space is limited for drop ins. We have a waitlist available and recommend you add your child onto it and we will contact you if a space opens up.

Attendance

If your student can't attend for any reason, please complete the Carroll Attendance Form and email the program director, Lauren Bagley.

The Middle & Upper School After School programs offer a diverse array of activities that explore the many interest of Carroll students and provide opportunities for socialization with friends, exercise, study, play, and creative endeavors. We offer three programs:

1. Mon-Thu After School Program: Programs are available all days of the week, 3:15 to 4:45 PM, 3 sessions, Sign-up is per session
2. Friday Programs: Meets Friday on (most) early release Fridays until 3:30 PM (unless noted), Sign-up is per activity
3. Athletics: 3 Seasons, Practice & game schedules are assigned by sport, Go to our Athletics page for more information including the Athletics Participation Health & Safety Info

Note to bus riders: The late bus picks up at ~4:45 Mon-Thu and ~3:30 on Fridays, there is no late bus for away games and meets.

Daily Drop-in: For families who need occasional after school for their child in a pinch, we offer a daily drop in option for $25.00 at the Middle/Upper School. Please note, this is subject to availability. Please email Amber Kuntz. Once your child is confirmed in a program, please also complete the Attendance Form (coming soon) to notify advisors about the change in pick-up for the day.

Friday Programs at the Lower School

We are offering a limited number of Lower School Friday spots to Middle and Upper School students on days when no program is offered at their home campus. These spaces are limited and subject to availability. Find available dates and register here.

Attendance

If your student can't attend for any reason (including absence), please complete the Carroll Attendance Form and email Amber Kuntz, Athletic Director and After School Coordinator.

Middle/Upper School: Please note: We realize that every attempt is made to pick up students on time. However, on a rare occasion should a ride home run late for Middle/Upper School students, there is a fee for picking up your child after 5:00 pm. Families will be charged $35.00 for pick ups that occur between 5 and 5:30 pm and $60.00 for any pick up that occurs after 5:30 pm.
