Absence/Tardy/Early Dismissals

Absence or Tardy: Please email summerattendance@carrollschool.org to report an absence, tardy, or change in pick-up.

Early Dismissal: Any student being picked up earlier than the normal dismissal time should have a voicemail message left on the hotline and/or a note signed by a parent (when dropped off in the morning). Counselors will collect these notes first thing in the morning. Recommended early pick-up times are 12:30-1:00 pm or 2:30-2:45pm, if possible.

  • Waltham early dismissals are from the front desk (parents check in with Liz Kuzmicz)
  • Lincoln early dismissals are from the lobby in Storrow (parents check in with Erika Barros)

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Info

WALTHAM (Grades 1-4)

  • Drop-off (8:00-8:30 am): In front of Mamet gym
  • Early Drop-off (7:30-8:00 am): Inside Mamet gym (*advanced registration & fees required)
  • Late Arrivals: Please check in at front desk
  • Pick-up: Around back of building
  • Late Pick-up (4:15-5:00 pm): Inside Mamet gym (*advanced registration & fees required)
  • Late Fee: please call 617-959-5460 if you are running late, parents picking up after 5 pm may be assessed a late fee of $1 per minute (payable by cash)

LINCOLN (Grades 5-9)

  • Drop-off (8:00-8:30 am): In front of gym
  • Early Drop-off (7:30-8:00 am): Inside gym (*advanced registration & fees required)

STUDENT RELEASE POLICY & AUTHORIZATION FORM

All parents must complete this Student Release Authorization form to let us know who is authorized to pick up your child. This includes parents who have arranged carpools.

What to Bring Every Day

  • Refillable water bottle, labeled with name
  • Bathing suit & towel DAILY for water activities
  • Sneakers, please no flip-flops
  • Sunscreen (30 spf or higher)
  • Bug repellent
  • Lunch - please label all lunches brought from home (if not ordering through Smart Lunches)

Smart Lunches

Summer@Carroll families can either send children with a bagged lunch or order from Smart Lunches to be delivered to camp. View this flyer or go to Smartlunches.com for more information and to learn how to order. Reminder: Orders must be placed at least 2 business days in advance of the lunch delivery date. Orders for Monday MUST be placed by Thursday at 11:59pm EDT.

Speaker Series (for Parents)

Our Summer Speaker Series is designed for parents and family members who have students enrolled in Summer@Carroll. Starting after drop-off, each workshop includes refreshments, presentation, and Q&A. These presentations are focused on issues directly affecting the learning experiences of Summer@Carroll students. Our summer series has concluded for the 2019 season. Parent Conferences: individually-scheduled parent conferences offered at 7:30 and 8:00 am each morning of the last week of camp (July 29-August 2)

July 25 Change in Pick-Up Time: On Thu, July 25, BR campers will be dismissed at 2:30 (unless staying for Extended Day and/or Late Pick-Up)
