  • Sports and activities take place on Lincoln & Wayland campuses: students will be transported to activity at end of the school day, please note pick-up location of the activity

How to Enroll

  • Winter enrollment opens on Monday, Nov 6, 2017 at noon EST and closes on Friday, Nov 17, 2017 (or sooner if activity fills).
  • Payment is required to secure your child’s spot in a program.
  • Registration/payment must be completed on the Smart Tuition website. We strongly recommend you follow these step-by-step instructions.
  • Once a program is full it will no longer be displayed on the Smart Tuition website.

Winter 2017-2018 Schedule

Mondays/Wednesdays

Winter Bounders

Students will have an opportunity to experience adventure-based winter outdoor activities. This may include forest games, fire building, camp crafting, snowshoeing, sledding, snow shelter building, and animal tracking. Students should come prepared with the proper clothing to be outside during the winter months for a few hours at a time. All abilities are welcome. Also, please remember that students will need to be prepared as much as possible to be outside in all types of seasonal weather.

Tuesdays/Thursdays

Fab Lab

If you like to make things, than this is the club for you. You will learn the basics of inventing using exciting technologies such as a laser cutter, 3D printer, and Shopbot CNC router. Come unleash your creativity and learn exciting new skills that allow you to make your ideas a reality. This club will focus on prototyping, CAD design, and using the laser cutter and 3D printer.

Art

Explore and experiment with after School ART: Students will create individual projects in many exciting materials including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media and jewelry.

Supervised Study
Pick-up Locations: Lincoln for Middle School students and Wayland for Upper School students

Fees: $103 for 1 day/week; $207 for 2 dys/week; $309 for 3 days/week; $414 for 4 days/week

Supervised Study will provide your child the opportunity to complete some of their homework. This is not a tutorial, but time for your child to have the opportunity to start their homework. There is a good chance that students may not get their work completed. If students are finished with their homework, they must read for the remaining Extended Day session. This is not a time for students to socialize, play games, or to listen to music.

Ice Hockey (Fridays only)

We practice on Fridays (see dates) after school, and we typically have 8 to 10 non-checking games against other independent day schools. These games are scheduled Monday-Friday. There will be two different teams that are formed based on prior hockey experience in an effort to keep everyone safe on the ice. We recommend that players have had exposure to skating and at least one year of organized hockey.

For those with limited hockey experience, we can offer a practice only option. Please contact Mike Kmetz for more information.

Practice will be Fridays from 1:30-2:30 with a 3:15 pm pick-up.

Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing Info

Carroll School is excited to once again offer our ski/snowboard program at Nashoba Valley. This program runs on Fridays beginning January 5, 2018 and ending February 16, 2018. We anticipate a great season with lots of snow. Even if the snow is scarce, Nashoba does a tremendous job with snowmaking.

All skiers and riders must have experience. Please find the specifics of the program below and we hope to see you on the slopes.

COSTS
$50 per week

IMPORTANT INFO

  • HELMETS REQUIRED for all activities.
  • Rentals – We highly recommend that rentals be arranged through Nashoba Valley prior to the start of the program. This makes the process easier for your child. You can contact Nashoba directly at 978-692-3033. Ski/Board and boots - $24 per week; Helmet - $12 per week
  • Pick-up time is at 4:30 at the Mamet Gym (Students taking lessons are picked up at Nashoba Valley Ski area at 4:00 pm)
  • No refunds or credits
  • Considering the long day involved in a Friday Program, it is important to pack a lunch or order a lunch for your child. We will have time to eat before the afternoon activities get started
