The following transition meetings will be held during the 2015-2016 academic year. 

Navigating Boarding Schools – Students and Parents Invited 

Annually in October 

A panel of Admissions Directors from high school boarding schools will discuss what it is like to be a boarding student.  They will discuss topics such as boarding school vs. day school, how to prepare for a school visit, residential life, academic support, and extracurricular and weekend activities.

A Parent’s Perspective

Annually in November

Please join us for a panel discussion with former Carroll parents whose children have transitioned to various school settings, including public, private day, boarding and technical schools.    Parents will describe their child’s adjustment to a new school and share observations and tips that worked for them.

Join us for a discussion about how to navigate the public school education system and develop an IEP to ensure success when returning to your town.

For C8 Families—March 31st, 7:00 PM, Gatehouse Great Room

As parents start thinking about 9th and 10th grade school options for their child, this is a great opportunity to learn about the elements of the transition process, what you need to do when, and how the School Placement Office helps you with researching and selecting school options – both public and private.
