 | | 5th Grade History Presentations
In late May, Carroll's Fifth Grade students gave a series of presentations reenacting the major events that led to the formation of the United States. Their presentations featured various events starting with Columbus's landing in the Caribbean and ending with the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The main goal of their presentations was to highlight the different perspectives of the many groups involved in the formation of the United States. As each student gave a presentation, they voiced the many points of view of the Native Americans, Africans, and Europeans. Their audience learned about how these groups and their respective descendents had remarkably different experiences.
The students performed with tremendous confidence and energy. Congratulations to the 5th grade!
