Summer Speaker Series: What is the Orton-Gillingham Language Approach?

Louise Freese, Director of the Garside Institute for Teacher Training (GIFTT), presented to parents of Summer@Carroll campers: What Is the Orton-Gillingham Language Approach? Louise described each of the characteristics of O-G instruction and how they relate to reading and spelling lessons. In addition, specific strategies and suggestions were given to help parents support their students outside of the classroom.
