The Dyslexia Leadership Summit 2010 met in Cambridge last week. It was incredibly interesting and exciting. We formed a platform for schools like Carroll to share ideas and attempt to make a big difference for children and educators. We formed "Think Nation: a nationwide school district for children who think differently." Through social media, the nine sponsoring schools at first (and many more later) are committed to engaging in shared projects in which we can study the impact of various interventions on the performance of students, teachers, administrators, and parents. From the seven innovative proposals which were presented at the Summit, the group elected to engage in a hybrid of a social networking projects for professional development with the Carroll Cognitive Math sponsored project. This collaboration will begin immediately.
