Where Was King George III?

Where was King George III? That’s right, holding court in the Gate House, completely fed up with those rascal patriots who were making trouble in the colonies - AGAIN!! In other words, it was the Annual Gate House History Review, capping off another great year of learning in Gate House history classes. Students wrote and rehearsed skits as a “Year in Review,” providing the audience with a panorama sequence of the US History topics studied this year. Featured were selected scenes beginning with Columbus’s encounter with the Taino in the Caribbean in 1492, and important events up to the first years of the new nation. Hats off to the students and to the teachers, Irum Haque and Betsey Holland, for another great presentation.
