On six Friday afternoons during the winter, eighteen Middle School students brought their sticks and skates to the ice. Carroll teachers Mike Lynch, Becka Hitchcock and Jenn McAleer coached this co-ed hockey team and taught the skaters new skills with drills and scrimmages. This program began three years ago when an enthusiastic Carroll parent first brought Carroll’s young skaters onto the ice. The highlights of the season were three games played against Shady Hill’s JV team, Shady Hill’s Varsity team, and the Town of Wayland’s JV team.  Carroll parents, Larry Brown, and Steve Wilkins proudly cheered on Carroll’s young hockey stars.
