Carroll Concludes 2008 Soccer Season

Monday: Carroll Boys "B" traveled to Cambridge Friends School for a make-up game. This was a very tight defensive battle that saw both teams unable to convert scoring chances. In the end, Cambridge Friends finally scored two late goals to win the match.

Girls "A" lost a close match at home to Charles River School. This was another defensive battle in which Carroll played hard but had difficulty taking advantage of scoring opportunities.

Tuesday - Boys "B", playing on a short field at Belmont Country Day School, had to settle for a 0-0 draw in it's last match of the season. Carroll had many scoring chances but the Belmont Country Day keeper was up to the test every time. Coach D stated that this was a "great finish to the season with a great performance by all."

Girls "A" concluded its 2008 season with a very tight match at Dedham Country Day School. Unfortunately, the hosts were able to squeak past Carroll 2-1 in this game. Coach K said: "The Carroll girls played great soccer. Unfortunately, the season has to end."

The Girls "B" team finished the season on a positive note with a dramatic late game scoring drive that ensured a 1-0 victory over Belmont Country Day. These teams were very evenly matched and played very well.
