Thanking Carroll's Parents' Associations' Volunteers

On a brillantly sunny morning in May, the Parents' Associations' volunteers gathered at the house of Steve Wilkins, Head of School. Steve thanked the PA volunteers for the innumerable ways that they make a tremendous difference in the programs offered at Carroll and in the support they offer to the entire Carroll community. A few volunteer activities include: organizing special events like the PA Speaker Series, the book swap, the book fair, and staff appreciation lunches; volunteering in the library, contributing to the yearbook, running many activities for each grade level, and supporting the arts programs. The financial highlight of this year, under the leadership of Morag Bamforth and Susan Burbage, was organizing, sponsoring and completing the highly successful PA Auction. Maggie Swift was awarded a coveted Storrow House mirror as a gift for co-chairing the PA for two years. Finally, special thanks were given to the exceptional 8th grade volunteers- Sidney Kenyon, Barbara Stowell, Erica Davidison, Cary Cort, Nancy Faulkner and Pam Richardson who generously gave their time throughout their children's years at Carroll.
