At Carroll, we believe that teachers and tutors have the power to change the lives of students and that the best educators are lifelong learners. Carroll offers in-depth programs that encourage and enrich the professional qualifications of both Carroll faculty and educators from other schools and settings. The For Educators section of our web site describes Carroll’s many dynamic teacher preparation and professional development opportunities. Highlights include:

• GIFTT – The Garside Institute for Teacher Training offers courses emphasizing a direct, multisensory, and systematic approach for students with language-based learning disabilities.
• The Master’s Degree of Education Program in Moderate Disabilities – a collaborative, school-based program with Lesley University, The Carroll School, and Buckingham Browne & Nichols (BB&N);
• Engaging and cutting-edge Professional Development Programs for Carroll’s faculty;
• Carroll’s Center for Innovative Education – Carroll’s outreach and research-and-development arm exports Carroll expertise through activities such as seminars, leadership summits, in-service professional development, and consulting for educators and schools.
