1. What is the Garside Institute for Teacher Training?
In 1988, The Garside Institute for Teacher Training (GIFTT) was founded to provide courses that emphasize a direct, multisensory, and systematic approach - principles that have proven effective with language-based learning disabled individuals.
GIFTT supports inclusionary education and offers a variety of services for educators and administrators. The Institute's unique combination of workshops, demonstration lessons, observations, and consultations are offered year-round and provide proven, effective programs to meet the challenges educators face today. The Institute is nationally accredited by The Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
