Center for Innovative Education
The mission of The Carroll School's Center for Innovative Education is to provide a research and development branch to a dynamic school that serves bright children with language learning differences, such as dyslexia. The Center seeks to procure enduring relationships with all of its constituencies and act as an advocate for those who work with children with language learning differences. The Center will reach outside the Carroll environment through teacher training, outreach workshops, and curriculum development with projects that will include research and may lead to consultation.
The vision for The Center is that Carroll will become widely known as “the best think tank anywhere regarding children with language learning differences, such as dyslexia.” The short-term goal is to initiate activities that demonstrate our capacity to make a difference in public schools, for children outside of Carroll, and in the broad field of learning disabilities. Long-term goals are to: build an enduring passion for Carroll among our constituents, enhance Carroll’s ability to attract talent, extend appreciation for different types of learners, and make a difference for children who need our services. |
