CARROLLMATH SUMMER SEMINAR
June 25-29, 2012

The Carroll School is hosting the Annual Math Seminar, an interactive five-day session geared to professionals who teach or supervise math.

  • The CarrollMath approach is designed to teach mathematics to students with language-based learning disabilities and those who struggle in math. The approach relies on five central foundations:
    1. Visual-Spatial Modeling
    2. Logic Activities
    3. Communication
    4. Fact Fluency
    5. Applications to Traditional Math

  • By including these foundations in Carroll’s math classrooms, students consistently show increases on nationally-normed assessments.

  • Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the CarrollMath approach and how it makes math concrete and fun for students, allowing them to break the cycle of math failure.
