CARROLLMATH SUMMER SEMINAR
June 28 - July 2, 2010

The Carroll School is hosting the Annual Math Seminar, an interactive five-day session geared to professionals who teach or supervise math.

  • The CarrollMath approach is designed to teach mathematics to students with language-based learning disabilities and those who struggle in math. The approach relies on five central foundations:
    1. Visual Spatial Modeling
    2. Logic Activities
    3. Communication
    4. Fact Fluency
    5. Applications to traditional math

  • By including these foundations in Carroll’s math classrooms, students successfully show increases on nationally-normed assessments.

  • Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the CarrollMath approach and how it makes math concrete and fun for our students, allowing them to break the cycle of math failure.
