CARROLLMATH SUMMER SEMINAR
June 28 - July 2, 2010
The Carroll School is hosting the Annual Math Seminar, an interactive five-day session geared to professionals who teach or supervise math.
- The CarrollMath approach is designed to teach mathematics to students with language-based learning disabilities and those who struggle in math. The approach relies on five central foundations:
- Visual Spatial Modeling
- Logic Activities
- Communication
- Fact Fluency
- Applications to traditional math
- By including these foundations in Carroll’s math classrooms, students successfully show increases on nationally-normed assessments.
- Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the CarrollMath approach and how it makes math concrete and fun for our students, allowing them to break the cycle of math failure.
