ALUMNI PROFILES
Kate Lonberg-Lew '92
Kate
has dedicated her professional life to teaching and Carroll has been very
fortunate to have her tutor in our Summer@Carroll program for nine summers.
During the academic year, Kate is a part-time teacher at the Brookwood School,
an independent day school, located north of Boston and is a private tutor.
After
Kate graduated from Carroll, she attended the Brimmer and May
School and then received her BA from Manhattanville College
in New York.
After earning her undergraduate degree—and always being an achiever—Kate
completed her MFA, Master's in Fine Arts in Creative Writing, at Lesley
University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Kate is also a graduate of the Lesley-
BB&N- Carroll collaborative Master's Program in Moderate Disabilities.
Kate
believes that dyslexic students have a gift for writing because they are often very
creative. Inspired by her students and her personal experiences, Kate is currently
writing a book about a girl with dyslexia for readers aged 10-15.
