Timeline & Forms
Once your ravenna application account is complete, our Admissions Committee will review the materials to determine whether your child may fit the range of students that we serve best. This process may take up to six weeks. If appropriate, we will contact the family to set up a campus visit. These group visits provide an opportunity for teachers and Carroll Admissions staff to observe and assess applicants. Parents will also spend time meeting with an Admissions representative.
We would like families to be aware that there are two different timelines for the Carroll admission process; in the middle school, we have instituted an application deadline of February 2, 2015 for students rising into grades six through nine.
Admission to Carroll’s Middle School is driven by a February 2nd deadline; we require applicants to grades six through nine to have completed an application and a school visit in advance of February 2nd. Please note: we recommend completion of a middle school application by January 1st in order to schedule campus visits in advance of the February 2nd deadline.
We will notify families of middle school applicants of our admission decision on or around March 10th. Families will have two weeks to make an enrollment commitment if appropriate.
Lower School applications, grades one through five are on a rolling admission process, meaning there are no deadlines; we review and process applications as we receive them and place students in available spots accordingly. With that proviso, we encourage families to complete their online ravenna application account as early as possible as many grades are full by the late winter/early spring.
Lower School applicant group visits will begin in late January/early February.
