PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Carroll trained teachers will provide a challenging and supportive 9th grade curriculum that mirrors that of local college preparatory schools.

Performance expectations will be high (as one would expect in a college preparatory 9th grade program), while targeted support will be given in order to help students achieve these high standards.

The Program will also provide direct and personal service in planning transition to high school.

Stand & Deliver

A unique feature of the 9th grade program is that students will regularly stand in front of the assembled teachers and students to express their recent knowledge and discovery. This compels students to organize, clarify, and communicate their learning and to receive constructive feedback on improving their work. This is an event that will extensively utilize educational technology.
